April Donahue has been Executive Director of Collier County Medical Society (CCMS) in Naples, FL, and its 501c3 Foundation, since May 2013. She directed the launch of the CCMS Physician Wellness Program in February 2017, and helped lead CCMS to the 2019 AAMSE Profiles of Excellence Awards in Advocacy under $2 million budget and the President’s Award for Innovated Engagement within Organized Medicine. April currently serves as immediate past chair of the Conference of Florida Medical Society Executives, board member for the Physician Led Access Network of Collier County, and member of the AAMSE county society meetings planning committees. April is a graduate of Leadership Collier 2017 and is the immediate past chair of the Leadership Collier Foundation marketing committee. She was recognized as the Leadership Collier Foundation 2018 Volunteer of the Year and one of Gulfshore Business magazine’s 2014 Southwest Florida “40 under 40”. April is currently participating in the Leadership Florida Class of 2020. Born in Indiana and a DePauw University graduate, April’s work experience also includes Communications Director and Executive Director of Hawaii Medical Association.
